MDE Competency
For the proposed CDMAP E-learning Project, the author demonstrates the following MDE competencies:
- Instructional Design: Integrates multiple learning and design methodologies, including Knowles’ andragogy, Meier’s accelerated learning, Gagne’s nine events of instruction, Keller’s ARCS model, Bloom’s taxonomy, SMART goals, the Kirkpatrick evaluation model, and Mayer’s multimedia principles.
- Technology in Distance Education and E-Learning: Utilizes various technologies and tools for course development, communication, collaboration, evaluation, and management. The selection process considers functionality, accessibility, technical requirements, mobile compatibility, security, privacy, and social and cognitive engagement.
- Learner Support: Implements diverse tools and methods to facilitate meaningful interactions between learners and content, learners and peers, and learners and instructors, ensuring a well-rounded and engaging learning experience.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Develops e-learning metrics for monitoring and evaluation purposes, starting from the pre-course period to after the course completion to ensure continuous engagement and improvement.
