In particular, the author highlights constructivism as the most suitable approach for her work with Sopan Sumba, a nonprofit organization on Sumba Island, Indonesia. Sopan Sumba focuses on gender literacy and women’s empowerment for boys and girls in the region. By leveraging constructivist principles through storytelling activity, the author fosters an interactive, learner-centered environment where participants actively engage with content, develop critical thinking skills, and apply knowledge in meaningful, real-world contexts.
