Nia English

This webpage is my e-portfolio as an MDE candidate at the University of Maryland Global Campus. It is a compilation of my academic work.

This webpage also shows my volunteer activities with a couple of organizations in the U.S. and abroad. Volunteering gives me a great sense of meaning and purpose in life.

Vision

My vision is to use my MDE background to create & deliver distance learning programs to marginalized groups in Indonesia, achieving a greater sense of empowerment & personal achievement; and for myself to remain a lifelong learner.

Mission

My personal mission is to provide vocational courses for income generation and good citizenship to the Indonesian elderly transgender (FKWI) community in Jakarta, Indonesia. In addition is to provide e-learning classes pertaining to gender literacy and the English language to the girls and boys of Sumba, Indonesia.

My professional mission is to expand my career in distance education and e-learning, preferably in global organizations for global development.

My education allows me to create and deliver e-learning programs that combine two or more theories in order to better respond to the needs of my contexts, taking into consideration the challenges surrounding them using SWOT analysis and a System Thinking Map.
